What was your overall experience getting vaccinated (was it easily accessible, did you have to wait a long time, etc.) Very easy. Scheduled and administered by employers. I work at a hospital.
Did you experience any side effects? If so, what were your symptoms and how long did you experience symptoms? 3 days after the first dose I got severe diarrhea, mild headache and mild body aches that lasted about 10 hours. 3 days after the 2nd dose I got only mild headache and mild body aches.
Why did you decide to get vaccinated? I wanted to protect my family and patients and help decrease number of cases in the community.
Any additional thoughts or advice for people who have concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine? The vaccine is much safer than the virus itself. If we want to get back to normal life and maintain reliable healthcare we have to take this necessary step to get a handle on the pandemic. If you take your chances with the virus and wind up in a hospital bed you are contributing to the problem by occupying a bed that someone else may need and tying up the caregivers' time, reducing the quality of care you and other patients need and deserve.

The start of this platform was motivated by the immense hesitation regarding the recent development of the COVID-19 vaccine. As a college student at the University of California, Irvine studying public health sciences, I felt inclined to do my part and educate people on the vaccine so more people are willing to get vaccinated and aren't taught false information regarding the vaccine and its effects.
